Volunteer

The Community School is a volunteer organization with limited paid staff. From our office manager and resource developer to our many seminar teachers, from board members to those who make meals for our students, our volunteers help create the opportunity for a first-rate academic and mentoring experience for our students. Each person who gives of his or her time is a part of the success that our students achieve. We hope you will consider joining our team.

One big way that you can volunteer is to supply a lunch

If you would like to donate pantry items, sign up on our lunch list, or just get more information, contact Donald Lacy at 410-467-4920 or email him at  DonaldLacy@tcshighschool.org. The calendar to find out what lunch dates are available is on our website: https://tcshighschool.org/events/.

 Food………… The students like a variety of foods. Some meal examples are chili, casseroles, soups, meatball or other subs, spaghetti, sandwiches, quesadillas, salads. Deserts are always a treat such as fruit, cookies, home baked goods. Drinks are not necessary.

Options…….. 1- Bring just before lunchtime so it’s ready to serve when the students start lunch. If you can help us serve lunch, that is welcome and appreciated.  2- Bring the evening before or in the morning ready to serve or heat

Time………… 12:00-12:30 Monday thru Thursday;  11:00-11:30 Friday

Numbers…… 13 students and 2-3 staff (depending on the day) if you would like to include them as well

Note………… The school has crockpots (with liners), microwaves and an oven to heat food as well as plates & utensils for eating and serving.
